At the beginning of May the Ardrossan Herald featured an article which seems to show UFOs, reportedly at around 9pm a local resident, Alex Gibb, 34 of Saltcoats captured four lights on his mobile phone.

Although his footage is reasonably good it is common to misidentify Chinese Sky Lanterns as UFOs, which when high in the sky appear as orange orbs or 'lights' and hover mysteriously and silently. Often a light breeze will carry these Lanterns quite some distance and to a good height.

Sadly without sharp footage these will probably remain unidentified, but as strange as they appear to be they are more than likely just Sky Lanterns, now that is not to say they can't be UFOs, just unlikely. Sometimes these Lanterns are strung together with rope or some other form of light cable and when aloft they then appear to be in 'formation'.
